Omar performing with Mumiy Troll!! 2010: Year of the Independence bicentenary and the Centenary of the Revolution Once again, art, culture and music will be present at the twenty seventh edition of Alfonso Ortiz Tirado Cultural Festival, to be held from January 21st through January 29th in the city of Alamos, Sonora and six other secondary host cities. The Festival is organized by the Government of the State of Sonora trough the Sonoran Institute of Culture, participant municipalities, the Tourist Commission of the State of Sonora, Conaculta and the National Institute of Fine Arts (INBA), as well with the valuable sponsorship of companies like Grupo Modelo, Coca-Cola and Telmex. This year festival will feature new forums, musical diversity, cinema, literary gatherings, simultaneous street shows, pocket opera, chamber music, and street opera. Artists range from different countries like Russia, New Zeland, the United States, Cuba, Canada and Mexico. All of this will become part of the 27 year old festival dedicated on behalf of doctor, philanthropist and tenor, Alfonso Ortiz Tirado.
